Lights, Music, Holiday Action! Don't be left in the cold ~ plan early!!
/It's difficult to believe we have rolled through nearly another year and winter has set in. This seems especially quick as I get older and just last month it was common to read "when to winterize evaporative coolers" as a topic on local forums. Yet, now as the days are short and the night air is crisp it seems we are indeed in the midst of the holiday season.
As in past years, our desert communities and theaters produce some magical shows, several of which operate as non-profits. Please support these productions and by attending as a date night, family outing or spreading the word. Also, don't overlook the shop local initiative and opportunity to pick up tickets for gift giving for those who have everything.
So for the start of the holiday season, I encourage you all to experience more and consume less. Embrace the opportunities of twinkling lights, sounds of caroling and most of all enjoy each other during this joyous time of year.
